Fun in the Park

Alex had fun visiting with his pals from his itsy bitsy play group. He also started sitting by himself today- probably so he wouldnt be outdone by the older boys... Eating cereal is a fun new treat as well. Overall, it was an exciting day for Alex.

Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter weekend, although Alex wasn't feeling well since Friday. He had a fever that we were keeping our eye on, but he was handling it pretty well. Sunday, our friends Adrienne & Gary had a few of us over to their house, and we had a great late lunch/early dinner. It was also a beautiful day! But Alex was just fussy all day. Later in the evening, he spit up on Derek, and I mean a lot! We both got kind of scared because he had never done anything like that before. So, after calling the advice nurse, we took him to the hospital to be checked out. After four long hours, we went home knowing that he had a virus most likely. It took a lot of time, but at least we got peace of mind. We slept in today, then I took Derek to BART & took Alex to the doctor. He seems in much better spirits today, and we even went for a walk outside while it was still sunny. By the way, it reached 80F today! Yippy! Love you All, Traci, Derek & Alex

5 Month Birthday Weekend

Last weekend was Alex' 5 month birthday. Alex took a nice nap with his Poppy on the bed, then we went to visit our friends The Sanders. Their three kids had fun playing with Alex, and we even ventured out to an early dinner. We like to say that Alex turns into a pumpkin by about 7pm when he gets sleepy & grumpy. Sunday was a beautiful day & I even took Alex outside in the jogging stroller. Our friends Dustin & Casey came to visit too. The first picture is Alex not too happy that his momma was taking his picture. I just wanted to get a pic in his cute rugby shirt! I haven't been taking as many pictures in the morning because it takes everything I can do to get out the door! I guess I just should get up earlier...but who wants to do that?! Love you all!

Grammie Letha Visits Alex!

Alex had a great weekend last weekend when his Grammie Letha was in town. She got to watch him all day Friday and give him lots of hugs & kisses. We all took a trip up to Napa along with Geoff for some wine tasting & to enjoy the beautiful weather. We also did a little shopping in Walnut Creek - of course Alex ended up with most of the purchases! The boy grows so fast that we are now finally having to start buy him clothes after going through most of the gifts we received at his birth. He's wearing about size 9 mos, or sometimes 6-12 depending on the brand, and he's not even 5 months old! We are thinking that he's teething now too. Lots of drool, everything goes in his mouth, and he loves the cool teething rings! He also loves to gnaw on our fingers when he can, or his own toes for that matter! Okay, well, we better get to bed! Love you all!

P.S. Where are that kid's pants?! He does this squirmy little thing with his hips where he squirms left-right-left-right. It nearly makes his pants come off, so sometimes we just help him!

Carri & Mandie Visit!

My cousin Carri & her good friend Mandie came out to visit last weekend from Pennsylvania! We had a great visit, and luckily the weather cooperated! We took a quick trip around S.F., then drove over the Golden Gate bridge. We stopped at Muir Beach where horses were trotting, ate British pub food at The Pelican Inn, then walked around the redwoods at Muir Woods. The next day we had fun walking around Walnut Creek. Carri & Mandy were so good with Alex too - what a help! We can't wait to go back to PA in early April to see them & the rest of the family as well. ~Love, Traci
